Nikola Tesla

Nikola Tesla... The man who invented the Tesla coil. Which in my opinion was way ahead of its time when it was created. He could be considered Thomas Edisons rival because he had opposed Edison's direct current (DC) power. Nikola Tesla was born on July 10, 1856 in Smiljan, Lika. He eventually came to America in 1884. He actually worked along with Edison until he realized that alternating current (AC) power was in fact better. But this started a war between Tesla and Edison. In the long run Edison had lost. Since much of Teslas' ideas are now being incorporated and his idea of the Tesla Coil (which is widely used in television sets and radios.) was recognized for what it could do and how much more useful it was. “Let the future tell the truth, and evaluate each one according to his work and accomplishments.
